Guess who got a big-boy bed?

We decided to finally take little man out of the crib and put him in a real bed.  I think he was ready for it.  The first night went pretty well, as the first nap.  Next night was good, too, despite one fall out of the bed that scared him pretty good.  Naptime today was pretty great, too.  I hope he keeps this up.  I think he loves being in a big bed.  I can't believe how much he has grown.

Mr. Fix-It

Adam still loves to go around trying to fix his cars.  Today he was using my Bosch adapter to fix his car.

When that didn't work, he went and found a spoon.

Just being his adorable self.

Children's Museum

One Saturday both Robin and my husbands went with the youth in our ward to the Temple.  We jumped in our car and headed to Bainbridge Island to a little children's museum.  It was really fun and we had a great day.

The looks on Olli's face is priceless.  Notice that Adam is near her, which is what the face is for.  I don't blame her, though.  Adam can be a little mean to her and she now wants nothing to do with him.  I hope he can win her heart back...someday...

Adam's first underdog.

Sunny days call for sunny times!  We hit up the parks as often as we can and Adam loves every minute.  It is so much fun watching him experience new things.  This day his daddy introduced him to the "underdog".  He was in love.

Nerdy

I asked Adam one day to go please put on his glasses.  I think I should have been more specific.  He is so cute.

Dinner Time

Dinner is one of my favorite times of the day, topped only by waking up to my little man smiling at me when I get him out of bed.  Not only to I get to eat (a favorite activity of mine), butI love it when the three of us sit around the table and just spend time together as a family.  Usually, it turns out to be 'The Adam Show' and David and I don't mind one bit.  He is one funny kid.  He loves to make people laugh, especially his mommy and daddy.  He often tries to steal food from our plates or switches his plate and utensils for ours.  It's hilarious.  One day not only did he switch his food with David, he then decided to steal what was left in the bowl he just gave him.  This kid must be mine to love food this much.

Mother's Day Hike

The Saturday of Mother's Day weekend was the day of sunshine for the weekend and we met up with some good friends of ours on Bainbridge Island to go on a little hike.  Hanging out with good friends and enjoying nature is just the thing we love.  We have been so lucky when it comes to finding friends in our new home. Their kids are so good with Adam and he really enjoys being around them.  I love watching Adam interact with kids.  He really loves to play.  It was a perfect day thanks to the Brandt family...and thanks to the sunshine and the beautiful state that is Washington.

Little Trevor fell asleep during the hike...I love that puckered lip of his.

He is such a ladies man.

Look at the joy on these faces!!

Yep.  We have cute kids.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Jack!

Today is my Daddy's birthday and I wanted to just post a little something about how much we love him.  Hope you have a great day in Vegas, Dad!  We wish we could be with you to celebrate but I hope you know we think about you all the time and miss you terribly.  Love you more!

Open wide!

Adam was having some applesauce and thought that Daddy needed some.  I guess it is just a natural reaction to open your own mouth while feeding something else.  I know I do it.  I also have to resist doing it when watching someone else feed someone.

Good news and bad news.

Good news is that all my hard work of teaching Adam to write an 'A' finally paid off when he wrote it all by himself.  Bad news is that it was on my computer monitor.  Also, I spent ten minutes looking for Adam's glasses one day.  I finally sat him down and asked him to show me where he put them and this is where they were found.

But on the cuter side of this toddler...he has a new "guy" that goes everywhere with him.  I also found him in the police car.  Cute kid.

Penrose Beach

We spent some time visiting another State Park here, Penrose.  It was really beautiful and was pretty packed with visitors since it was a sunny day.  Sunny days are like gold around here.

The placement of Adam's hands while he is on his shoulders looks like he is about to break David's neck all ninja-style.

I'm pretty sure that this was the moment David saw a spider slowly descending onto Adam's head.  Also, Adam found his first sand dollar!  My sister and I collected sand dollars every summer while we were in California.  We found a few more and have started a small collection for little man.

A picture of Adam looking at the camera and smiling?  What?

Adam was watching David throw rocks to skip them on the water and he finally was able to thrown the rocks like his Daddy.  Proud moment.  Skipping the rocks is right around the corner.

Bobby-pin fixin'.

One day I found Adam focusing really hard on the seat of the tricycle.  Turns out he had found a bobby-pin and was using it to 'fix' the bike.  Good job, buddy.  You fix that bike.

Beckham. Beckham. Beckham.

Well, Adam has a buddy named Beckham.  We went to play with him and his sister the other day and now whenever I tell Adam we are going somewhere, he asks "Beckham?"  Or he will just randomly start talking and all I can make out of the babble is the name "Beckham".  Simply put, he loves Beckham.  I don't blame him, he is a cute little guy and they have a lot of fun together.

Bathtime-Hair

Adam has amazing hair.  Some people may not like it, but I don't really care what they have to say.  I love it.  I think it suits him rather well and even better now with his glasses.  He is my own mini-Clark Kent.  In the bath, we have lots of fun with it.  We'll style it and he'll jump out to go show Daddy or come to show Mommy what Daddy did.  It is hilarious.  I love him.

This is "I'm done with this" look.

Hey! Check out who's on that hog in the rear view mirror!.....George Michael!!

Well, the title of this post is a quote from Arrested Development and since it is on my mind a lot because the new season comes out this month, I thought it would be appropriate since this post is about riding hogs.  These boys are so cool.  I don't think much else needs to be said.

Andrew was helping Adam to learn how to ride a bike.  It was incredibly adorable and nothing short of awesome.

Catching up with April...

It has been awhile since I last posted and we have been up to a lot of fun things.  Here is some of April.

Adam's BFF Andrew stopped by and gave Adam a ride on the quad.  Yes, Adam is hugging Andrew in the last photo.  He loves Andrew.

David got his nerd on with Adam one day.

Adam took his leading lady for a ride in the wagon.  She was very impressed with his strength, I am sure.

Adam decided hats are worn backwards all on his own.  I don't know where the cool gene in this kid came from since David and I are not very cool at all.

Our buddies went for rides in the shopping cart and then gave them turns going down the slide.

Made some music.

Got new specs.
