Bug Museum

Yes, it is exactly what it says it is.  No clever ruse, it is a museum of bugs.  We often drive by this cute little place and today we stopped in to kill some time.  It was pretty fun.  Adam new phrase is, "Cool!  This!"  We try to get him to say, "This is cool!" but no luck.  And that is okay.  He little sayings are the best.  We went through this little museum and everything was "Cool! This!" and he was also saying hi to everything.  I love how brave and curious my little man is.  Nothing really scares him...which can be a good thing, but also not so much.  He has no fear.  He gets that from David, I am scared of everything.  Here are some pictures of our little trip.  As you can see, there is no hope for him to be anything but nerdy.  I'm quite alright with that.  I love me nerds.  Nerds rule the world.

Lots of waving and yelling "HI!"

Space.

I don't think I can convey the love this kid has for space.  Seriously.  Anything that involves space is like entering Disneyland for the first time to him...speaking of which, I need to take him.  It's a need.  Today we got on the NASA website to check out some photos.  Then hopped onto YouTube for some videos.  I really hope you can just picture the squeals in your mind.  It was hilarious and awesome all at once.  I love him.

On the edge of the seat, gripping the table as though nothing else mattered.

He saw the rocket take off and just screamed in excitement.  I was so so so happy to catch this on camera...only a video would have been better.

Friends and kids.

I love that so many of our friends have young kids.  Adam loves playing and we love our adult interaction (which mostly is us talking about, watching, laughing, etc. about our children).  That is okay though, how can we not gush about our kiddos that are pretty much the best things in the world?

We spent an afternoon with friends and the kids pretty much dominated.

Running around the ottoman....

Adam wanted to perform "Popcorn Popping".

'I looked out the window and what did I see?  Popcorn popping on the apricot tree'

'Spring had brought me such a nice surprise, popcorn popping right before my eyes!'

'I can take an armful and make a treat.  A popcorn ball that would smell so sweet.'

'It wasn't really so, but it seemed to me...popcorn popping on the apricot tree!'

Then these two showed us a new song.  It was so incredibly adorable.  I need to learn it to teach Adam.  It involves shaking your booty...and we all know I like shakin' my booty.

Then some quiet time to watch Curious George.  Everyone needed a buddy or two to cuddle with.

And finally, Adam ended the night playing footsies with his lady.

Mixing it up in the kitchen.

Adam loves the kitchen.  He spends a lot of time in the cupboards and has really figured things out.  He spent a good 20 minutes trying to get the other beater to stay in the mixer (let's be honest, it is hard for this 33 year old to get it right first time).  He finally got it in the end.

Just hanging around...

Sleeping...again...

Now that he is in a big bed, getting pictures of him sleeping is much, much easier.  So here is another.  Most likely I will be taking a lot more.  He is perfection.

Sleeping

I don't think anything is sweeter than a sleeping child.  Some nights I can just sit by Adam's bed and watch him for 15 minutes.  The idea that this little boy is mine makes me happier than I ever though possible.  I don't know how I was ever happy without him.  He and his dad make my life amazing.  I am one lucky girl and I owe it all to them and to my Heavenly Father who blessed me with them.  The are so much better than I deserve, but I am grateful for them every second of every minute of every day.

Early morning reading by the window.

Yesterday morning Adam was being really quiet in his room.  I went to check on him and this is what I found.  He doesn't know how to read yet, but he sure likes to pretend and loves his books.  It is moments like this that melt my heart.  He is amazing.

Puppy and Guy

Adam is still obsessed with his 'guy'.  It is pretty cute that wherever Adam is, he needs to have his guy with him.  Whatever he is playing with, guy is there with him.  This day he was giving his guy a ride on the puppy.  All he would say is, "Guy ride puppy!"
