Viking Festival

Last weekend there was a Viking Festival in Poulsbo.  Not sure about the history of the area or anything, but it sounded like a fun thing to go to.  When we got there not too much was going on, so we just walked around.  I am not really good at at taking photos of scenery and such, but I tried.  At least I got some way cute ones of Adam and David...my two most favorite things in the world.

That was one crazy BIG doughnut.  He didn't even share it.  Rude.

This little gathering was about the only thing we actually stood around to watch that involved the Viking Festival (you know, the whole reason we went).  We kind of just did our own thing the whole time rather than participating in the festivities.  Oh, I also ate some homemade ice cream from a booth there, too.

Tables, phones and cars.

Adam is loving the table in his room.  If he isn't using it to spin his cups and balls on, he is climbing on it.  One morning all I could hear from his room was the car sound that he makes and I went in to check on him.  This is what I found.  To my surprise, he didn't fall off of it once.

Later that morning I could hear him babbling on and on like he does when he is on a phone...which was exactly what I found him doing.  He loves the phone and he almost always tries to say "hi grandma!"...but is sounds more like "hi gamma!"

Who needs 'em?

Adam tends to chuck anything and everything he can gets his hands on.  By the time I usually go in to get him up from a nap, most of his little buddies are on the floor.  I caught him in the act this time.

Adam reading.

Adam will sometimes get this 'deep' look when he is reading.  I finally got it on camera.  He looks so beautiful to me.

Sunshine!

We have had a few nice days to enjoy the beautiful parks nearby.  I can't wait to explore more.  Adam loves being outside.

Adam has his own room...finally!!

Since Adam arrived he hasn't really had a place that was his own.  In our old place, his room was full of a bunch of other things so he couldn't play too much in there.  When we moved, Janet stayed in his room with him and now that he has his room all to himself, we FINALLY made it just for him.  I sure do wish I could go out and buy all sorts of fun things, but we wanted to see what we could do with what we had.  A neighbor was able to cut the legs of a desk we weren't using and it was the perfect size for Adam to use.  Our old ottoman worked as a place for all of Adam's balls.  I wish it wasn't black, but I think I can make it work when I start with the decor on the wall.  Once I am totally done, I will post it.

And finally all of Adam's books in one place.  I can't wait until he is old enough for us to read all these books to him.

What a face.

This is how I found Adam after his nap a few days ago.  I have no idea how he managed to get his shirt over his head like that...when I was trying to get it back over, it was SO tight.  Oh, I love him and his big cheesy grin.

Who needs toys?

It seems as though all the toys we have could probably be tossed out.  This kid gets bored with his toys after about 5 minutes...but give him a pile of laundry or access to the pantry and he is entertained for hours.  Go figure, right?
