Trying to finish up June 2013, part two.

This whole post happened in one really warm day.  We went to Playgroup, then swimming with the Neals and then swimming with the Browns.

I think he is having fun, don't you?

Adam has no fear.  He'll jump in the pool with no one there to catch him, too.

Just holding hands with his lady friend.  He is a flirt.

Dunking with Daddy.

I'm pretty sure we were all surprised he chose to jump from that far back from the edge...

...and cleared it.

He loves his Daddy.

Next up, July.  I already have over 1000 pictures in July...plus a folder for the 4th...plus a folder for a day trip we made to the Olympic National Park.  It seems so daunting to me.

Trying to finish up June 2013, part one.

I really thought I didn't have too much left of June after I finished up the Family Reunion.  I was wrong.  Really wrong.  Turns out we had a lot of fun before last month ended.  I love summer.  I especially love summer in Washington.  And even more with our incredible friends.  It's been a rocking summer this far...and it is just going to get better.  I am one lucky girl.

Bubbles have been a big hit.  Spent the day at the park with some friends chasing bubbles, sharing yogurt raisins and scooting along.

Adam wakes up in the morning and the first thing he will usually say to me is, "I want to see Daddy."  Daddy is a favorite, for sure.  These two have the BEST time playing with each other.

David fixed up his bike and took it mountain biking with his buddy, Adam.  Turned out to be a really rainy day, but that didn't stop them.  The fact that David's brother split open his chin mountain biking a week or two before didn't stop him, either.  What is 20-some-odd stitches when it comes to having fun?  Lucky he came home with only mud all over him...not blood like someone we know...(hmmm...Kendal...)

We played with water on the porch on the days the house was over 80 degrees inside.

Practiced out dice rolling skills for when Grandpa Jack takes Adam to hit the craps tables.

Worked on our fine motor skills...which usually ends up working on our 'clean-up-a-1000-beads' skills.

Played on the bed with our cars.

Played with Olli without tears.  Yeah!  Sharing!

Spent some time with Andrew and Carly.

Family Reunion, completed.

It's only taken me an entire month to finish up the one week with mom and her family reunion.  Once David arrived, we headed to Fort Worden to spend the day with the family.  I know I have met them all before, but most of them when I was younger...and I barely remember what I did yesterday, let alone people I met when I was 10.  So it was like meeting them all over again!  We spent the morning playing on the beach.

Adam's first experience with building in sand.  I seriously love the faces this kid makes when he is excited.

Right on the pier was the Marine Science Center and they had little touch tanks that we all knew the kids would love.  We headed that way...soon after the photos below, Adam tripped and opened up a knee wound from the pool a few weeks before.  This scab has been ripped opened on countless occasions.  I don't know if it will ever be healed.  He STILL has it.  I'm thinking knee pads might be necessary...

Look at these faces...so fascinated...

Adam soon started yelling "HI Fi-fi!" to all the fish.

Then we went back to the condo for naps, got up and headed straight back to the beach.

David got his nerd on and built a small Tipi with sticks.  Adam was quick to destroy it, leaving his Dad a bit sad.  The sun was starting to set, so we took a walk to cheer him up.  It worked and look here!  A picture of Adam smiling at the camera!  I love these two.

Here is a series of throwing sticks into the water.

Good form, buddy.

Got throwing one stick down?  Let's try for two.

How about this big one?  Too big?  Well, here's a smaller one.

I got this.

David then tried to show Adam another way to throw things (yeah...).

Like this, Daddy?

Chasing...

And then the day was done.  We had an amazing time...and I pretty much only took pictures of David and Adam.  I need to get better about including other people...

Until next time, Ford Family.  We love you all!

"Daddy!"

Adam was asleep when we got back to the condo on Friday night.  In the morning he was so excited to see his Daddy and David was so happy to see Adam.  Adam was attached to David the whole day.  Everywhere one was, there was the other.  I can't get over how much these two love each other.  I feel like the luckiest girl.  I could sit and watch them play for hours...and I do...and I take a million pictures of it.
